Verification notes: New listing, added this pass. Ant International (the international arm of Ant Group, operator of Alipay+) launched AMP on April 28, 2026 and open-sourced the protocol under Apache-2.0 at github.com/ant-intl/AMP — the operator's own repository, not the similarly-named unofficial mirror that also surfaces in search (a different, unaffiliated account). The repo's own README documents a concrete cryptographic mechanism: a Shopping Agent role 'holds an EC P-256 key and signs L3' of a three-layer mandate chain, implemented via SD-JWT (RFC 9901, ES256 signatures) covering checkout, mandate, and credential objects — sourced directly from the operator's own code and documentation, this is the basis for marking cryptoSigned true, a correction from an earlier draft of this listing that had it false based only on a press-release read. A September 11, 2026 company update (PR Newswire) reports ten Alipay+ wallet partners (Alipay, AlipayHK, DANA, GCash, KakaoPay, MPay, TNG eWallet, TrueMoney, Toss, Starryblu — roughly 1.5B accounts) and seven payment acquirers (Adyen, Checkout.com, Fiserv, Global Payments, Nuvei, Worldline, Allinpay) onboarding. The protocol includes AgentSafePay (a merchant money-back guarantee against agent-error transactions) and an 'Agent Trust Rating' for agent identity/reputation — both Ant's own framework claims, not yet third-party verified. Ant is also co-developing a Know-Your-Agent (KYA) interoperability framework with Visa and Mastercard, both separately listed here (see Trusted Agent Protocol and Agent Pay for Machines) — that framework is still in development per current coverage, not a finished standard. No independent third-party audit of AMP has been located, so audited stays false.
