Verification notes: Correction this pass: the mcp flag moves from false to true. Amazon's own Alexa+ for Builders blog (July 23, 2026) confirms Alexa+ is adopting the Model Context Protocol — brands bring their own MCP server, Alexa+ for Builders inspects it and generates a simulator-ready integration package, and Alexa+ additionally supports the MCP Apps extension for rendering interactive UI inside the conversation view. Named first-wave MCP partners include Canva, Headspace, Priceline, Viator, Virgin Atlantic, and Lyft, with integrations starting later in 2026 — this is a Preview capability, not a broad GA rollout yet, so treat MCP support as real but early. Payment capability (Amazon Wallet, e.g. Ticketmaster checkout) and the smart-home developer toolkit are unchanged from the prior pass. No A2A support confirmed. $19.99/month, free for Prime members. Re-checked this pass via Amazon's own Alexa+ for Builders developer pages: the MCP Toolkit remains Preview and available only to select partner organizations working directly with Amazon's team, with general evaluation criteria published but general availability still not dated. No flag changes.
